My Background
During an ice storm in 2013, I picked up my dad’s camera that he had lying around and went outside to take photos of the ice. I still vividly remember those images—the way everything sparkled, shined, and glowed. That moment was the beginning of my love for photography. After that, I was hooked. The very next Christmas I got my own camera, and I started photographing anything and everything—seniors, engagements, families, events… the list goes on. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something much bigger.
I eventually attended Middle Tennessee State University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Photography. During my four years in the photography program, I had the opportunity to explore many different areas of the industry and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of photography. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that weddings were where my heart truly was.
After photographing my first wedding in 2017, I knew this was exactly where I wanted to be. Getting to witness and preserve so many love stories is something I will never take for granted. Every wedding day is different, and I truly love getting to experience those moments over and over again.
My approach to photographing weddings is rooted in being both prepared and present. I come into every wedding day with a thoughtful plan and a calm, steady presence so my couples can fully enjoy their day. While I guide when needed, I’m always watching for the genuine, unscripted moments—the quiet glances, the deep breaths, the joyful celebrations—that truly tell the story of a wedding day.
